Zedman Walking #6

Sgt Tazer strikes back: Day 8

Loud speakers blasting the Police enter the neighbourhood in force.
One car peels off to set up a road block to the north.
The last car sets up a road block to protect the suburb they have just cleared.
The load speaker continues..
"Please remain indoors until we give the all clear."
"Medical assistance will then be available to those who require it."
Sgt Tazer, Con Nick and two other Police set up at the crossroads.
The Plan. Set up road blocks in the east, north and centre.
Clear the area of Zombies. Search the buildings for survivors.
The north car approaches its post.
          A couple of Zeds approach the cross road from the west.
One is knocked down by gun fire but everyone misses the Undead Policeman!
Zeds swam the isolated Northern police car.
The Undead Policeman  wanders into the Police lines and attacks Sgt Tazer.
One of the Zombies manages to break the glass and attacks the driver.
The driver fights it off but  now must do a drive test to escape.
And true to form in my Zombie games he manages a double fail!
This spills both officers out on the ground.
The other Police try to keep the Zeds off with gun fire but its not enough.
Some Zeds appear to the east.
After three different PEF's (random enemies or friends) resolved to increase the Encounter rating.
Finally the fourth is a mini van with two citizens.
Troy Story and Fred October. Both Rep 3.
A Zed approaches the eastern road block.
All the Zeds have been cleared around the north road entrance.
So now the decision has to be made on wether to send two Officers from
the cross roads to man this barricade.
Some Zeds attack the eastern road block.
One of the eastern officers goes down under a rush!
The Police provide covering fire for the Mini Van.
And they manage to escape only to be confronted by more Zeds.
With only one officer now protecting their escape they decide to
send reinforcements there and the Ambulance home.
A random event brings a house fire.

The fire seems to bring more Zeds.
Marge, Pete and Annie step out to help Troy and Fred to escape their van.


The last Officer on the eastern barricade tries to hold on.

The rest are on the way.

The rest arrive, clear out the Zeds and set up.

The Zombie Herds head down the main road.

 
The Police open up and with good initiative rolls manage to remove a lot of Zeds
and knock most of the rest down.
But there was a lot of them!

Eventually, there ranks thinned, they approach the barricade.

Sgt Tazer ends two of them with his Baton!

A desperate last second fusillade clears the Zeds away!

The Zed numbers thin down to a trickle.


With two guarding the barricade Sgt Tazer with Con Nick and another move out.

The change of tactics work and they manage to clear out the Zeds.

The house continues to burn.
Well the Police failed to liberate the suburb but with some lucky dice rolls
have managed to halt the spread of the infection.

Zedman walking #5

"Pete's Choice" Day 6

Day 5 the power went and didn't come back. Things began to get quieter during the day too.
Passing cars became less frequent. The occasional yell or scream and sometimes a gun shot. 
In the distance sirens and muffled explosions. By Day 6 Marge's angle had healed up Peter suggested they try and collect what they could from the local shop in the next block. Before others clean it out. The Plan. Annie would stay in the house and cover the others with her rifle while Pete, Marge and Bobby would dash over, load up and get back.
The shows the short trip from Annie's house to the shop and back. Again the cars on the road represent PEF's or random friends/enemies.


Pete Rep5 with revolver leads out Marge Rep4 pistol and baseball bat and Bobby Rep2 with pistol.
 They have been to this shop before and there was a Zed inside. But they killed it.
The first PEF car is spotted and turns out to be driven by citizens.
Good luck maybe they can be convinced to join our group.

Unfortunately the car is mobbed by nearby Zeds and the driver manages a double fail.
The resulting major crash knocks his friend unconscious.
Pete opens the door of the shop. Its full of Zeds! Run!
 
The group retreats back towards the house shooting as they go.
This attracts more Zeds from other directions.

Meanwhile the man picks up his unconscious friend and makes a run for it.
Unfortunately he's too slow and is cornered and over whelmed.

 Things are starting to look desperate at the cross roads. Bobby has tripped over and the group is nearly surrounded!
Another PEF car has two citizens.
The group continue to pull back.
  With the help of covering fire from Annie's rifle in the house.
The citizens turn down the road and offer them a lift.

Reversing out they get mobbed.

The driver manages a double fail and the crash knocks him and Bobby out.
The Zeds are straight on to them!

Pete heroically carries Bobby while Marge covers them.
The group continue to escape hoping for kind initiative roles.

 The Zeds catch the group and Pete and Marge desperately try to defend Bobby from being eaten.
 Surrounded they keep winning the fights but the Zeds get back up again and again,
Then Marges weak ankle gives out!
Pete makes a choice. He grabs Marge and helps her to the house.
The Zeds now fall on the defenceless Bobby beside her own apple tree.
(Bobby was originally Annie's neighbour.)

Another group have nearly finished feasting on the citizens.

While they are all distracted Pete and Marge sadly sneak back into Annie's house.
It was pretty sad loosing poor Bobby like that. Also with the group down to 3 they might go under in the coming weeks. We'll see. But it now looks like the Zeds have taken over the streets.
