Tourin Horse "The Garlic Munchers"

The Tourin Horse Regiment. 

Serving the Princedom of Alsace.


The nickname "The Garlic Munchers" earnt after the Staff Officers were spotted enthusiastically gathering garlic from a field while the Regiment was being held in reserve during the battle of Gagnaire.

    How does one, singular event such as collecting garlic on the field of battle earn such a moniker that sticks? Interesting tidbit!
