Well thought I'd see how well my phone works for miniature picks as my camera looks like it has past on.
Off to buy a new one 😒
This is the first Lagash Regiments. Some skirmishing with Javelins others Bows, three Regiments of Spear, Guard with two handed Axes and the General.
The Bowmen doing their Job
The spearmen poking around really big shields.
The Guard.
Who needs shields when you have really big axes and know how to use them.
Interested to see how these photos work out.
Next will be the Umma Army. They even have a Regiment of Battle carts!
They look good, and an interesting Campaign i the offing. I take all my miniatures pictures with my cell phone camera. I find it's best if you don't take them from too close up (you can crop them later), and use natural light on an overcast day.
ReplyDeleteDavid, marvellous to have you back blogging and with such an interesting campaign/era too! The figures look grand. Like Peter, I rarely use my camera now. The ones on phones are so good nowadays and then there is the convenience of them. Mind you, I think about using the camera when the phone gives the figures a grainy or other weird texture because it has focussed on something in the background. Again, as Peter has mentioned, lighting is such a key as well as a simple background. The old white sheet is a ripper. You have done it pretty well with these.
ReplyDeleteIt's beaut to read your note to 13-year old you. Makes this even more special!
